I Told You I Like My Mice MEDIUM Rare!

Almost everyone here on Bainbridge Island has a dog, and sometimes two.  Cats, on the other hand, are at a premium.  It’s no wonder that some of them have attitudes.

I Told You I Like My Mice MEDIUM Rare!

The grey cat in the picture definitely has an attitude.  He looked like he had just run away from home because he was unhappy about something.  I got the feeling he was saying “I TOLD you, human, I like my mice MEDIUM rare!”

We had two cats in our apartment complex, for a time.  They were a mother cat and her son.  They had managed to intimidate a pit bull – a pit bull! – that also lived in the complex.  I felt for the poor dog because he would cower behind his owner’s car, looking for the two terrors that made his life a living hell.

One time the dog got under the car and the mother cat went straight for him.  The poor dog ran like mad across the parking lot and took refuge in a group of bushes.

Someone finally took pity on him and took the two cats to live with the owner’s grandmother.

Who would have thought two five-pound cats could intimidate a full sized pit bull.  Life is strange, some times.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Now, this cat has the right idea on a cold December day.  Sit in the warm sun, eyes closed, snoozing.  After I took this picture I went back to my apartment and curled up with a nice hot cup of hot chocolate.
