There is nothing like stopping for an ice cream treat on a warm summers day. Just after the 4th of July parade Terri and I stopped at Mora Iced Creamery. The store is located just off Winslow way at 139 Madrone Lane. On a warm, summer day, its a perfect place to sit in the sun and enjoy their wonderful ice cream.
They make their ice cream in small batches to maintain their high quality, using fresh milk, real eggs and cane sugar. The result is a real treat, even on a cold winter’s day.
Mora current has three locations. Kingston and Poulsbo, but my favorite is on Bainbridge Island.
I highly recommend a special trip to Bainbridge Island and the Mora Iced Creamery for locals and visitors a like.
As a side note, I was wondering how I was going to get my grand kids to come visit us from Boise. The solution is simple – a bribe! Mora sends its ice cream world wide. The challenge is to be sure the kids get a taste before their parents eat it all up.
